Albert Bauer photographs collection [graphic], 1927-1945.

Photographs collected by Albert Bauer (1900-1993), a civil engineer who was involved with the construction of the Bull Run Dam, the Bull Run Reservoir, and the Bonneville Dam and who was later the manager of the Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation in Portland, Or. The photographs date from 1927-1945 and depict views of the construction of the Bull Run Dam (also called the Ben Morrow Dam) and the Bull Run Reservoir No. 1 in Multnomah County, Or., 1927-1929; site clearing and early construction work on Bradford Island in the Columbia River for Bonneville Dam, circa 1934-1935; and group portraits of the sponsors of the Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation's Liberty, Victory, and Troop Transport ships, 1942-1945. One photograph album also depicts the construction and launching of the S. S. Joseph N. Teal, Sept. 13-23, 1942.
